Our client work extensively with Scottish Water and others and are looking to recruit Clean Water Project Engineers with the relevant experience and background to join them. A consultancy, they are large enough to matter but, people focussed, you remain a name and not a number.
Your role will be based in the Glasgow area offices but hybrid WFH options exist.
The Role
- Working with the Project Manager and Senior Engineer to deliver our projects for our Clients
- Leading a team of graduates and assistant engineers in preparing trunk mains conditioning and uni-directional flushing designs which reduce the risk to water quality on Scottish Water’s clean water network
- Providing the technical expertise required to support your team in the delivery of their work and to resolve the various complex challenges encountered during design of network cleaning interventions
- Working with our Clients and their colleagues to build the relationships needed for successful project delivery
- Collaborating with other colleagues to develop new ideas and opportunities.
What we’re looking for
- BEng/BSc or equivalent experience in an Engineering or Science discipline
- Experience on clean water networks, their assets, GIS systems and pressure and flow data logging
- An understanding of water quality within clean water networks
- A good understanding of Project Management essentials
- Awareness of CDM regulations & NEC contracts would be of benefit
- Excellent numeracy and communication skills
- Strong report writing, data analysis, interpretation & manipulation skills
- Office 365 tools and industry specific software experience (such as GIS packages)
- Prior water industry experience
