This role is with a multi-disciplinary consultancy with over 170 employees providing a wide range of Asset Management, Engineering, Commercial, Customer Programmes and Strategic Advisory services to clients across the water, energy and environment sectors, across the UK.

This role as Project Manager (Regulatory) would preferably be based in the Bristol/South Wales area to facilitate 1-2 days per week in client offices. Predominantly working within the Water industry but may cover wider utilities and infrastructure.

The Role

  • Operating as the named Project Manager, ensuring successful delivery of assigned projects to agreed time, quality, and cost parameters from inception to close out including invoicing process.
  • Development of programmes and milestone plans for projects assigned and monitoring of these to ensure successful delivery.
  • Chair key stakeholder meetings and project reviews for assigned projects owning the risk registers, action logs and carrying out project administration for assigned projects.
  • Actively managing key client projects, coordinating technical resource and developing scope requirements for assigned projects.
  • Develop commercial project information for client proposals
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports for all projects assigned and escalate any issues as appropriate.
  • Upkeep of all contract administration documentation
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to produce the optimum outcomes for the Client across multiple concurrent projects

Requirements

  • Water Industry or wider utilities experience essential.
  • Experience of managing projects within regulatory processes. This experience may be from price reviews (PR14, PR19, PR24, RIIO, RIIO-2 etc) and external regulator (Ofwat / Ofgem, Competitions and Marketing Authority (CMA) projects client side or consultancy.
  • APMP/ AMP PMQ (Project Management Qualification)/ PRINCE 2 or equivalent preferred
  • NEC3/4 understanding (Desirable)
  • Project Planning (MSP/ Gantt) (Desirable)
  • Project management skills including organisational and diligent skills.
  • Effective communication, report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other specialist computer packages (SAP, CRM’s, etc).
