Based in South Reading and working for a market leader worldwide within their field, a Sales Support & Marketing Assistant is required to work within a small team whose role it is to support the external and internal sales function. In itself, the sales function operates on behalf of a larger manufacturing and installation operation. Although part of a smaller team, you will work within a vibrant larger office environment numbering 30 or so colleagues.

First and foremost the role will be supporting the sales team which has internal and external component parts where you will provide first line contact for all new sales enquiries. The role will also include a variety of marketing functions such as ;

  • Producing marketing campaigns and media content.
  • Additional research/investigation
  • Assist in the promotion of the company and product brands through website, trade advertisements, exhibitions and promotional gifts
  • Maintain availability of product literature
  • Processing and invoicing of samples
  • Ensure development and maintain the quality of sales data, market and market share analysis
  • Conduct market research and report relevant data in a concise and timely fashion

Skills/Experience required

  • 1-2 years sales support/marketing type experience if possible
  • Proficient user of Excel  – very important
  • Very good spoken and written English
  • Good experience within Microsoft Word
  • Confident on the phone to take calls
  • A degree of self-sufficiency
  • An ability to get on with the job 
  • CRM experience would be a bonus
