This week we want to introduce you to Emma Petälä. She is the Marketing & Operations Manager at Flagship. We asked her some questions about her role and what she likes to get up to outside of work. Read below what Emma had to say!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Flagship?

“I finished my Masters in Marketing Communications in 2020 and have been working at Flagship as their Marketing & Operations Manager since April 2021. My role includes creating social media content, finding relevant event and sponsorship opportunities such as awards or employment fairs, increasing brand awareness, and running the day to day operations of the company.

I also do some Business Development on the side. I’m a member of Women in Property and the FBE and try to attend industry networking events regularly.”

What is the best part about working for Flagship?

“I love that my role is so varied, no day is the same. We also have a great team at Flagship which makes the working day even more enjoyable!”

What do you get up to outside of work?

“In my spare time you’ll find me socialising with friends and family. I enjoy working out and going for walks outside. I also love exploring new places and travelling”

Something people don’t know about you?

“I feel like this is a hard one, but I guess something people wouldn’t know about me is that I’m really into history and I enjoy binge watching history documentaries. I’ve also more recently become interested in genealogy and have tracked my family history all the way to the 1600s”

What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

“I’m lucky to have been able to travel to some really cool places but I have to say nothing beats the Scottish Highlands. I absolutely love Scotland! Sailing around the Whitsunday Islands in Australia was amazing too!”
