Meet the Team – Izzy Brady

This week we want introduce you to our Recruitment Consultant Izzy Brady. Izzy joined Flagship at the beginning of 2022 and her main focus is recruiting Project Managers in London. We asked Izzy some questions about her role and what she likes to get up to outside of work.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Flagship?

“I came from a background of administration, sales and most recently car sales. I enjoy interacting with customers and clients, hence why I was excited for an opportunity in construction recruitment. I enjoy being in a fast-paced environment where customer satisfaction is number one priority.

I joined Flagship Consulting to focus on recruiting for Project Managers in the London area. Building strong relationships with both candidates and clients is vitally important and something which I excel in. My real passion is talking to people and learning about their stories so, helping candidates find their next venture in their career is an honour to be able to assist with. “

What advice would you give a jobseeker looking for work?

“A good solid CV is always a great place to start. Getting the basics correct, like, spelling, grammar, punctuation etc. are so easy to do and make such a huge difference. Also utilising your connections and speaking to people (friends, family, old colleagues) is a great way to find opportunities that you might not find on job boards for example”

What do you do differently?

“My priorities as a recruitment consultant are building good relationships, being open and honest and having a positive approach with people. Finding a new job doesn’t need to be stressful and ultimately being relaxed and comfortable going into an interview will produce the best results. Also, organisation is a huge key to success in this role. Keeping people updated at all times and being on top of tasks absolutely makes a difference”

What do you get up to outside of work?

“Outside of work I’m kept busy at all times with my three dogs. You’ll usually find me with my dogs and my husband walking through the Welsh countryside, relaxing on the sofa watching TV, cooking, cycling, or enjoying the company of friends and family”

Something people don’t know about you?

“I’m a pretty open book however, a fun fact about me is that at the age of 11 I reached my full height of 5’10!”

What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

“My husband and I went on the trip of a lifetime on our honeymoon. We went on a cruise to Norway and visited many of the cities off the west side of the country. We went to a few towns in the Artic Circle and witnessed the Northern lights which has always been a dream of mine!”
